Mercedes-Benz S-Class was selected as the best car in the luxury class and SLS AMG for the category of best sports reader survey by the German automotive magazine auto, motor und sport. Both models successfully elected than 315 vehicles - including a new model of 40 candidates - the election in 10 categories.
The award "The Best Car of the Year" has become an annual tradition of the magazine since 1977 and this year (2011) more than 90,000 readers participated in the survey.
