It's taken time for german carmaker to get on board with hybrid, since they have spent much effort and money on bringing diesel power to a greater acceptance. but the market wants what the market wants, and hybrid sell. so audi is bringing out the A8 Hybrid for 2012.
with a 2.0-liter turbi four and an electric motor, the company states a totak power outpu of 245 hp and 345 lb-ft of tourque, but avarage fuel comsumption is said to be 36.75 mpg. it can run up to 60 mph in electric mode only, for a distance of 1.86 miles.
Audi has nit given any prices yet, but in light of the typical american drivers aversion to diesel, its good bet the A8 Hybrid will go on sale here. and just to sweeten the deal, a Bose sound system comes standard
