Home > WOT > TOTD: What Does the 2016 Cadillac CTS-V Need to Be the Best? We absolutely adored the previous generation Cadillac CTS-V, but since its 2009 debut a new generation of super sedans from Audi, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz have hit the streets. Audi's now sporting a 560-hp RS 7, BMW a 575-hp M5, and Mercedes a 577-hp E63 AMG S. What does the
2016 Cadillac CTS-V need to compete with the big boys again? That's the question we want answered for today's Thread of the Day. From what we hear, the 2016 CTS-V should certainly be impressive. It's expected to have a de-tuned version of the 2015 Corvette Z06's 6.2-liter supercharged V-8, which could produce 600-hp under the hood of the Cadillac CTS-V. The CTS-V will also likely come with a seven-speed manual, or an eight-speed automatic. The CTS-V promises to be impressive on paper, but is that enough to make the 2016 CTS-V stand out from, and beat the Germans? Does the CTS-V need a dual-clutch transmission like the M5? All-wheel drive like the RS 7? A wagon body style like the E63 AMG S? What do you think the 2016 Cadillac CTS-V needs to beat the competition? Sound off in the comments below.
