Abarth 500: North American premiere in Los Angeles  

Currently, Little Miss Italian Fiat 500 is available in two models and in three variants: 

- Fiat 500 versions POP, Sport and Lounge 

- Fiat 500C versions POP Lounge 

After the hatchback and convertible models, a version with the signature "Abarth" will be added in 2012. This version will be entitled to a vitamin North American premiere held at the Motor Show in Los Angeles to be held from 18 to 27 November. 

The brand Abarth 

The name "Abarth" Fiat is the equivalent of the letters "SRT" for Chrysler, "AMG" to Mercedes-Benz and "M" for BMW. That is to say the letters heralding more powerful cars and sport behavior significantly. 

As it should, the declination "Abarth" of the Fiat 500 has a ceremonial aesthetic that clearly demonstrates that we are dealing with a small car that will not let them impose. In Europe, the small Abarth 500 is available in coupe and convertible versions. 

A small bomb 

The most popular version of the Abarth 500 spirited offered in European markets is powered by a four-cylinder 1.4 liter turbo with a power of 135 horses. This is most likely with the cavalry, modified to meet U.S. standards in terms of CO2 emissions, we will be offered the charming Abarth 500. 

This powertrain is expected to be accompanied by a five-speed manual transmission or a six-speed automatic transmission.
